  • This introductory class is designed for beginners with little or no prior experience. You’ll learn the fundamentals of the game, including tile suits, setup, basic rules, how to read the National Mah Jongg League card, and the flow of play.

    The class is hands-on and interactive, with plenty of time for guided practice and questions. By the end of the session, you’ll have a solid foundation and the confidence to join open play or continue learning.

    All equipment will be provided. No experience necessary—just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm!

  • Ready to build on the basics? American Mahjong 102 is designed for players who understand the fundamentals and want to deepen their skills and confidence at the table. This class reviews core rules and focuses on strategy, defensive play, Charleston nuances, common hands on the National Mah Jongg League card, and improving speed and decision-making.

  • Join us for a relaxed and social American Mahjong Open Play! This session is perfect for players who already know the basics and want to enjoy a few games in a welcoming, low-pressure environment. Come on your own or with friends, mix and match tables, and play at your own pace.

    Mahjong sets, racks, and tiles will be provided—just bring your current National Mah Jongg League card (can also be purchased separately at the open play event) and your love of the game. Whether you’re looking to sharpen your skills, meet fellow players, or simply enjoy a fun afternoon of tiles and conversation, all are welcome.

  • Yes! I am happy to offer private lessons in the comfort of your home. I’ll bring all the supplies to you! I do require a minimum of 4 players to book a private lesson. To inquire, fill out a contact form and I’ll get back to you in 48 hours.
